To Call the Vet or Not Call the Vet: What You Need to Know About Small Ruminant First Aid and Being Prepared for Lambing or Kidding Season

Presenter: Dr. Jesi Leonard, Scarle Mobile Large Animal Services

Dr. Jesica Leonard is a 2015 graduate of NC State’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Leonard also received her undergraduate degrees from NC State’s Departments of Animal and Poultry Science in 2011. A na ve of Falkland, North Carolina, Dr. Leonard grew up on a small farm raising beef ca le and sheep. Throughout veterinary school, Dr. Leonard was involved with short-term Chris an Veterinary Missions to the Navajo Na on and Alaskan Yup’ik people. Her professional interests include ruminant nutri on, poultry medicine and small ruminant medicine. In her free me, she enjoys hiking, camping, cooking, traveling and cheering for NC State’s Wolfpack.
