Program Director

ABOUT DAVIDSON COUNTY LOCAL FOOD NETWORK
Overview:
Davidson County Local Food Network (DCLFN) is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as the Program Director. This half-time role offers an exciting opportunity to lead our efforts in promoting community health and strengthening the local economy through an equitable and economically viable local food system.
Position Details:
Classification: Half-time (15-20 hours per week)
Compensation: $25,000 - Salary
Reports to: Board of Directors
Role and Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic and operational activities of DCLFN.
Work closely with the Board of Directors and staff to manage operations, provide strategic direction, and ensure long-term sustainability.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with foundations, corporations, local businesses, and community partners.
Oversee programs like FarmsSHARE, Farm Fresh Nourish, prescription box programs, and other food access initiatives.
Manage program budgets and financial reporting.
Represent DCLFN at community events and engage in active outreach.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in nonprofit management, a strong commitment to promoting a thriving local food economy, and familiarity with nonprofit fiscal management. This position offers the potential to grow into a full-time role as our organization expands.
